Manoj Sharma is a double post graduate. He received his BA in Humanities, MA in Psychology and MBA in HR from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Recently he has completed prestigious executive program in Management from University of California, HAAS School of Business. He has accreditation on MBTI and certification from World at Work as “Global Rewards Professional.”
Mr. Sharma’s professional journey encompasses 22 years of experience across various domains of Human Resources function both at factory level and corporate level. In his current role at Vedanta (Natural Resources Major) he is accountable to providing strategic direction to HR initiatives across the Group in the areas of Rewards & Benefits, Performance Management, Job Analysis & Evaluation, HR Policies & Systems, Online HR Systems & Processes etc.
Mr. Sharma’s professional journey began at Aditya Birla Group at its Chemical factory, he then subsequently moved to Cement & Aluminium businesses. His last assignment was as Jt.President – Corp. Human Resources for flagship ABG Company “Hindalco Industries” leading key HR verticals at the Corporate Level before joining Vedanta where he holds the position of Sr Vice President currently.
He has worked with teams belonging to Multi Cultures & Geography such as USA, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, UAE, Zambia, Namibia, Ireland, India etc. His sector appreciation includes core sectors such as Chemicals, Cement, Aluminium, Copper, Zinc, Oil & Gas, Iron Ore Mining & Power.
Some of the key achievements to his credit are change management initiatives, steering voluntary separation plan, HR Policies & Systems Integration as part of Mergers & Acquisition, HR digitization, long term wage settlement with unions, wealth creation plans for employees, executive compensation, education / communication on total rewards, job evaluation and diagnostic surveys covering various categories of employees.
He is an avid sports person, plays cricket and Squash. He loves camping, networking and leading challenging situations.
